About Us

Drillteam is a brand innovation company which follows a 2.0 approach to engaging consumers.

Our sweet spot: the hyper-mediated, time-shifting, ad-skipping, lean-forward consumer.

Our expertise: moving beyond the 1.0 model of broadcasting a singular message to 2.0 engagement. We interact directly with these influential consumers to co-create your brand.

Social networks. Blogs. Web 2.0. Word of mouth. Influencers.  Live event activation. Brand ambassador networks. Online Collaboration Tools. Engagement. Relevance. It’s all connected through a mindset of interactivity and consumer control. This 2.0 world requires something more than new tactics. It requires a new approach. A new process.

That approach is what we call collaboration. You want some help navigating? Good. That’s what we do.

Case Studies: Toyota Heya

Heya means room in Japanese. Toyota has built an online room at heya.toyota.com for innovators and creative people to be a part of this collaboration program.

HEYA is a place to share and collaborate on ideas – an online conversation that leads to new thinking and projects—with each other, and with Toyota.

HEYA launched in August 2006 and has since grown to 500+ members.  The online conversation happens in message-board style forums within heya.toyota.com.  Toyota will listen and learn something with the HEYA members through collaboration online in the HEYA forums and offline with projects that are creative and insightful. The kick-off event in September 2007 was a HEYA-hosted collaborative animation workshop at the Imprint Culture Lab, an Asian-American pop culture conference in LA.  Since then, HEYA has sent members to the Electric Vehicle Symposium in Anaheim, CA where HEYA got front row seats to see the latest in electric vehicle developments and HEYA worked with artists and festival attendees at the Maker Faire in Austin to decorate a Matrix into an elaborately decorated “art car.”

In 2008 HEYA sponsored the Quiksilver Natural Selection snowboarding competition where two lucky HEYA members were selected for their video making skills and snowboarding prowess to fly to Jackson Hole, WY for the event.  On the slopes, these two HEYA members and event attendees took part in a collaborative video shoot with expert snowboarders!  Upcoming events include sending green-thinking HEYA members to the The Dwell on Design Conference in LA.

The question that sums HEYA up is: “What can we do together?”
